A golden version and a sport of N. 'Quince' , 2-‐
3 flowers per stem with swept back petals, 5-‐
6" tall.
Plants to 12-‐14" with 2-‐3 large, teardrop shaped, two toned yellow flowers per stem.
A miniature that is an all yellow form of N. 'Minnow'; many florets per stem; 5-‐6" tall. Plants 10-‐12" tall, flowers with a large ruffled cup which opens creamy and turns to white; clear white perianth flows back like a wave.
Shrubby in habit with the basal leaves ovate to lanceolate, cordate to saggitate at the base, petioled, glandular-‐stellate-‐pubescent (as is the entire plant), the non-‐flowering basal shoots forming a dense groundcover. Flowering stems appear in June and reach 1 m in height; flowers yellow, held in verticillasters; fruits remain decorative until winter.
Plants are easy to grow, xeric, eye-‐catching in and out of flower and not browsed by rabbits and deer. In late spring, the low, tight rosettes of textured, nearly-‐white foliage create a superb backdrop for the showy spikes of large, clear-‐blue flowers. Plants bloom for 3-‐4 weeks. 12" by 12".
Perennial herb 25-‐100cm. Stems erect, simple or occasionally branched. Leaves very variable depending on habitat, from 5x3cm to 30x23cm, Nutlets 2mm, rounded-‐
trigonous.
Prostrate habit, flattish mound, 15 x 65cm wide. Foliage yellow; Flower 11mm. Excellent front of border plant; attractive in bud; striking glaucous foliage.
Plants ideal for rapid ground cover. Leaves are dull, dark green. Flowers are pale yellow when opening.
Compact, mounded shrub growing to 2-‐3' tall and 4-‐5' across, with dark green foliage and 1-‐
3" diameter, flat topped pink flowers in May-‐
June.Fall color is often a good yellow.
The blue-‐green foliage emerges a rich purple red. The flowers are as rich, pure pink unlike any other Spiraea. The plant is a compact, full bodied mound. scientific name

Diminutive shrub, growing 6-‐8" tall and 18-‐
24" across. Flowers are pink and foliage turns yellow in the fall, and retains color into late fall.
Similar to 'Alpina' but larger (to 30"), faster growing, and with larger leaves (to 1" long).
An introduction from England that has better golden leaf color than 'Goldflame'; shoots do not revert to green and habit remains more compact.
Mildew resistant plant has brilliant gold foliage that will hold its color all season long and provides a profusion of beautiful pink flowers.
A Darthuizer selection of Spiraea media that grows to 5x5' and has an abundance of large white blooms in April and May.
Deep fuchsia, tightset, tubular flowers are lifted above a tidy, compact rosette on stout, straight stalks, with crinkled and round-‐
tipped medium green nearly evergreen foliage stays close to the ground. Size: 20" high x 12" wide; hardy to zone 4. Low growing, this has golden leaves that are brightest in sunlight. Spreading to a foot or more wide it makes an attractive ground cover. In late spring to early summer 6" tall stems of pale, lavender-‐blue flowers open. The golden leaves are noted for their resistence to sun scorch in hot climates.
Plants have a tight and upright habit without the tendency to split in the middle. Its foliage color is dark like a cabernet. The pink flowers are extremely vibrant when set against the dark burgundy foliage and with slight shearing will rebloom through out the summer. Full sun is essential for dark foliage.

Plants reach 6'-‐9' in height; fragrant, bright pink flowers are borne in late June into early July.
Large shrub or small tree with stiff, spreading branches developing a somewhat oval to rounded crown. Plants reach 20' to 30' in height, 15' to 25' in spread. Flowers perfect, white, fragrant, borne in large, terminal, 6" to 12" long, and 6" to 10" wide panicles, in early to mid-‐June, effective to 2 weeks; extremely showy in flower. Bark cherry-‐like, reddish brown to brownish on young and old stems, marked with prominent horizontal lenticels, becoming gray and scaly on older trunks.
Somewhat similar to S. reticulata, but smaller (15-‐20') with a more informal (multi-‐
stemmed) habit, and finer texture throughout. The leaves and stems are smaller and finer. The flowers are creamy white and appear before those of S. reticulata in 3-‐6" long panicles. Habit bushy, spreading and rounded. Bark often quite handsome, being sometimes similar to that of S. reticulata, or on some trees, may exfoliate in rich brown flakes or sheets.
Small tree reaching 35'-‐ 40' in height and width with creamy white panicles of flowers and exfoliating, cherry-‐like bark (DS 519). It was selected for its upright, narrow form, cold and drought tolerance, and attractive cherry-‐like bark. The original tree is 40' tall with a spread of 25'. Has proven highly tolerant of deicing salts (DS 682).
Plants have a densely rounded, compact habit and reach 20'-‐25' in height. Leaves are very dark green; flowers are abundant and produced at a young age.
Bushy medium-‐sized deciduous shrub with dark green, heart-‐shaped leaves and dense panicles of fragrant, deep purplish-‐red, double flowers soon fading to deep pink Flowers white, double. According to Father Fiala, one of the best doubles.
Small coniferous tree or shrub.

maintenance, no serious insect or disease problem.
Finely textured, dense, nearly globose shrub, somewhat broader than high, reaching about 2.5 m in height, and 3.5 m in width, well-‐
branched with short shoots and deep green, 15.. to 20mm long, somewhat sickle-‐shaped needles (DS 8). Male clone with densely rounded habit, reaching 9' in height, 12' in width after 20 years with dark green needles (DS 9).
Columnar in habit reaching 20' in height after 15 to 20 years; needles lustrous dark green above, lighter beneath; male and female clones exist. Narrowly columnar, about 2-‐3 imes taller than wide, branches ascending, long, often with the peak of the plant wider than the base; needles radial on erect shoots, distinctly 2-‐ranked on the lateral shoots, 25 to 30 cm long, 3 mm wide, glossy dark green above with a raised midrib, light green beneath. Female form of quite dense and compact habit, upright, about 3.5 m tall, 2.5 m wide in twenty years; needles very densely arranged, 18 to 20 mm long, about 2.5 mm wide, sharply acuminate, black-‐green above, lighter beneath, fruting abundantly on 3-‐ to 4-‐year-‐
old plants (DS 8). Free-‐fruiting female form, erect and dense, taller than wide, a twenty-‐
year-‐old plant being 12' tall, 9' wide; very dark green needles (DS 9).
Normally of broad, shrubby habit, but always trimmed to a pyramid in the nursery, becoming 3 to 5 m tall with regularly arranged branches and numerous twigs; needles to 20 mm long, 2 mm wide, acute, somewhat bowed, dark green above, dull green beneath.
Habit columnar
