Selecta one FlowerTrials® 2016 presentation
Like last year Selecta one will be present at the locations during the FlowerTrials® 2016.
More than 500 Selecta varieties are presented in baskets and window boxes in the show
garden at the premises of Christian Filla in Straelen. The adjacent hall hosts special
marketing presentation and different product types.
The FlowerTrials® presentation of Selecta Holland takes place in the main building of the
FloraHolland in Honselersdijk in the Westland area. In the upper floors a representative
selection of the Selecta assortment will be shown.
Trend magazine Selected
The second edition of Selecta’s trend magazine „Selected“ will be launched at the
FlowerTrials®. The magazine features trend themes, showing ideas for an emotional
approach when displaying plants. Several theme worlds like “homeland” or “easy gardening”
will be displayed at the FlowerTrials®. The potential for communication of standalone
varieties like Pink Kisses® und NightSky® will be also highlighted at the presentation.
Novelties 2016
Several exciting novelties will be shown at the FlowerTrials® for the first time:
Dianthus Colores
The new Colores line with striking, shining flower colours is covering the complete colour
range of pot carnations and leaves nothing to be desired. The varieties are more vigorous
compared to the well-known Oscar® varieties and can be cultivated in big pots to produce
high-quality plants. Colores varieties are suited for cold cultivation as well as for summer
cultivation. The seven novelties are Colores Sangre (dark red), Colores Amor (red),
Colores Beso (purple), Colores Dulce (pink), Colores Oro (apricot-yellow), Colores Sol
(yellow) und Colores Nieve (white).
Dianthus Capitán
The new pot carnation line Capitán consists of four vigorously growing varieties that fully
develop their strength in big pots and containers. Only one plant develops to a rich flowering
plant. The varieties are also ideal to combine with summer perennials. And not only in pots!
Consumers have the advantage to use these varieties also as a cut flower in bouquets. The
four new varieties are Capitán Marco, Capitán Colón, Capitán Diaz and Capitán
Magellan, a candidate for the FleuroStar Award.

Petunia Swirl
Great additions to the Selecta Petunia assortment are the three new Swirl varieties with an
attractive, special colour. The flowers in berry colours are a real eye-catcher, providing
strong contrasts in pure white window boxes or bringing colours in mixed containers. All
varieties convince with an easy to control growth habit and are very early flowering. The
varieties Swirl Cherry Banana, Swirl Blueberry and Swirl Raspberry are cold resistant
and flower all summer long.
Calibrachoa Rave®
Rave is the brand-new Calibrachoa line with five varieties in the Selecta assortment. The
striking star pattern stands out and is a real eye-catcher from near and far. The varieties
convince with an early flower, very good branching and with an easy to control growth habit.
Rave Calibrachoa are the novelties that shouldn’t be missing in any assortment. The new
varieties are Rave® Pink, Rave® Violet, Rave® Blue, Rave® Peach and Rave® Cherry.
