The deadline for applications is January 10, 2012. The appointment will be for 3 years, and the successful applicant is expected to register for a PhD programme at the Department of Materials Science and Engineering. Job description: Design, development and characterisation of new bioactive glass-ceramics for tissue engineering and regenerative medicine applications (i.e. bioactive glass macroporous scaffolds, porous multifunctional bioactive glassbiopolymer composites).The aim is to develop a new family of novel silicate glass compositions for glass based porous scaffolds for tissue engineering and drug delivery capability.
