Pharaoh Poster Project
For this project you will create a large poster that gives information about a specific pharaoh
and the people who lived during his reign. Your poster should be interesting and full of information. It
should have pictures, drawings, and a map.
You must include the following sections on your poster:


pictures, drawings, and a map.
A biography of your pharaoh.
o Some examples of questions you might want to answer are:
 When was your pharaoh born and when did your pharaoh die?
 What dynasty were they a part of?
 What happened to them during their lifetime?
 Were they directly related to any great pharaohs?
 Why was your pharaoh important?

The religion of the people during your pharaoh’s lifetime.
o Some examples of questions you might want to answer are:
 What was their faith and moral beliefs?
 Who did they prey too?
 Did they create temples to their gods?
 How did they view the pharaoh?
 What happened to them in the afterlife?
 Where their priests, if so what did their priests do?

The politics during your pharaoh’s lifetime.
o Some examples of questions you might want to answer are:
 Who was in charge?
 Who could be in the government?
 What were the laws?
 Was there an Army/Navy?
 Were there any wars?
 Were there taxes?

The economy of the country during your pharaoh’s lifetime.
o Some examples of questions you might want to answer are:
 What goods did the Egyptians/Nubians produce?
 Did they use money or did they trade goods?
 Did they have trade routes with other early civilizations?

The Egyptian geography during your pharaoh’s lifetime.
o Some examples of questions you might want to answer are:
 What kind of environment did the Egyptians/Nubians live in?
 How and why was the Nile River important?
 Where any other natural features important?
 Where were the main cities during your pharaohs lifetime?
 Where were the political boundaries during your pharaoh’s lifetime?
 Where were other civilizations in relation to Egypt?

The society of the people during your pharaoh’s lifetime.
o Some examples of questions you might want to answer are:
 Where did people live?
 What was home life like?
 Where did most Egyptians/Nubians work?
 What did they do for fun?
 What made them happy?
 What was important to an Egyptian/Nubian?
