Will the project deliver on the following Landscape Connectivity and Biodiversity regional delivery investment priorities? Is the project: Yes/No - located within a priority zone or on more than one Regional Assessment Map? - in close proximity to high value vegetation, existing PVP’s or National Park? - providing a key strategic linkage with high connectivity value? - area containing quality regrowth? - size and shape delivering a high quality corridor? - located within an existing conservation plan? - likely to contribute to the regions resilience to climate change? - in close proximity to existing NRM projects Is the Landholder: - willing to share Carbon Credits? - demonstrating capacity to undertake the project? - willing to support field days on site? If the project is located within the Regional Assessment Map priority zones and the majority of answers to the questions are yes then the landholder can be encouraged to develop and submit a funding proposal for Landscape Connectivity and Biodiversity funding if funds are available for that particular activity. The landholder can be encouraged similarly, if the project does not deliver on the landscape connectivity and biodiversity program investment priorities but does deliver on a CAP priority, to apply for other LLS funds for that particular activity. Recommended Action: Proceed to developing a detailed project proposal for biodiversity funding Provide further assistance, but refer to other funding opportunities No further action Hunter Local Land Services 2
