Behavior: Prometheus has qualities we admire-generous,
determined, strong-willed. Zeus has qualities we disdainmean, self-centered, vengeful. Pandora is disdained for her
curiosity.
Origin: Myth tells about the origin of animals, man, fire and
human misery
Explanation as
to why it is it
is an Origin or
Behavior Myth
Myth explains the way humans thought about the way fire
was created and how humans came to be. Prometheus and the
gods created these things that were not easily understood by
ancient man
There are behaviors that we admire and disdain. We want to
be like Prometheus with his generosity. We don’t want to be
like Pandora or Zeus, too self-centered or curious
