Supplier Marketing Guidelines
General
1. NHS Supply Chain Logo Usage

NHS Supply Chain is an agent of the NHS British Services Authority (NHS BSA) and is governed by the
Department of Health (DoH)
Under these regulations and governance, NHS Supply Chain branding/logo cannot be used in
conjunction with other supplier brands or logos across any offline or online sales, marketing, PR
materials or social media.
2. Usage of NHS Supply Chain Name
• As an alternative and in light of the above regulations, ‘NHS Supply Chain’ in words may be used
across your sales, marketing, PR materials and social media – such as tweets or Linked In posts
• The NHS Supply Chain twitter address is @NHSSupplyChain
• The company name should be used in its entirety each time i.e. NHS Supply Chain

3. Usage of NHS Supply Chain NPC Product Codes
• To help improve your customer’s purchasing experience via our route, we encourage the inclusion of
our NPCs codes within your supplier marketing material to ensure all the details customers may need
to progress their orders or lines of enquiry through our route, are readily available.
4. References to your NHS Supply Chain Framework Award.

When referring to a live NHS Supply Chain framework, please ensure that the full framework title is
used in the correct title case i.e. Fresh and Prepared Fruit, Vegetables and Fresh Poultry Eggs

5. Referencing NHS Supply Chain Promotion of your Products/Ranges

The following terminology can be used when referencing the availability of your products and
services via NHS Supply Chain frameworks: Available through NHS Supply Chain
or; Available via NHS Supply Chain or; Working in partnership with NHS Supply Chain
The following terminology should not be used when referencing NHS Supply Chain promotion of
your products:
o ‘approved’
o ‘supported’
o ‘endorsed’
o ‘authorised’
o ‘certified’.
6. Referencing NHS Supply Chain Framework Prices

We recommend prices are not included across your marketing materials, instead directing customers
to the NHS Supply Chain online catalogue: my.supplychain.nhs.uk/catalogue to avoid
miscommunication or confusion across a potentially wide range of marketing materials.
7. NHS Supply Chain 3rd Party Testimonial/Customer Testimonials/Quotations/Sound-bites

NHS Supply Chain Approval of Supplier Marketing Materials
All supplier marketing materials referencing NHS Supply Chain products or services should be sent to your
NHS Supply Chain buyer, as low res PDFs, for approval by NHS Supply Chain Marketing, before print
and/or communication to customers.
Please allow 7 working days for approvals, feedback and recommendations.
