System
Modular system for posterior stabilization
From occiput to the mid-thoracic spine
All standard techniques of screw placement
Cannulated screws
Angular stability and rotational stability
CAS compatible
Ø 5 mm
Ø 4 mm
Ø 4 mm
Ø 3.5 mm
Instrumentation options
OC stabilization
with the M plate or OC rod
neon M plate
Lateral mass screws
Transarticular C1/C2 instrumentation
Indications
When intended to provide immobilization and stabilization as an adjunct to fusion of the cervical spine
and the occipito-cervico-thoracic junction (occiput-T3), the plate/rod, rod, hook, screw connector and
crosslink components of neon are indicated for the treatment of:
DDD (neck pain of discogenic origin with degeneration of the disc as confirmed by patient history and
radiographic studies)
spondylolisthesis
 spinal stenosis
fracture/dislocation
 atlantoaxial fracture with instability
 occipitocervical dislocation
revision of previous cervical spine surgery
tumors
The cortical (3.5 mm) bone screws are limited to occipital function only.
The hook, rod and crosslink component placement is indicated for the cervical/upper thoracic (C1-T3) spine.
The use of neon screws (with easy fits), polyaxial connectors (with inlays and optional spacers) is limited to
placement in the upper thoracic spine (T1-T3) for anchoring of the system. Screws are not intended to be
placed in the cervical spine.

Advantages
Variable
Versatile applications and techniques
Large selection of implants
Different spine sections
Optimum adaptability to the anatomy
Stable
Maximum stability with a reduced risk
Immediate and permanent stability
Mounting, without any stress, by polyaxial
connection
Safe
Increased safety due to cannulated screws
Simplified pediculation with self-tapping screws
Protects patients by minimally invasive approach
Correct placement with trocar system
Can be combined with all ulrich medical®
screw-rod systems
Flexible extension from the cervical to the lumbar
spine is possible
The neon hooks extend the instrumentation
options of this versatile system.
