Weathering: Breaking down of rocks into smaller and smaller pieces.
The three different types of weathering are physical weathering,
chemical weathering, and biological weathering.
Physical weathering: Breaking down of Earth's rocks, soils and minerals
through direct contact with the planet's atmosphere like freezing
water, and Plants.
Chemical weathering: During chemical weathering, chemical
reactions break down the minerals in a rock.
Biological weathering: In biological weathering, living organisms,
such as plants and animals, cause rock to decompose.
