Sixth Annual Forensic Science Symposium International Forensic Research Institute Call for Abstracts on Research and Practice in the Forensic Sciences FIU’s International Forensic Research Institute (IFRI), in cooperation with the Miami-Dade Police Department, Broward Sheriff’s Office, Palm Beach Sheriff’s Office, Pinellas County Crime Lab and Drug Enforcement Administration presents the Sixth Annual Forensic Science Symposium at FIU. Tue., May 9, 2017 1 p.m. to 7 p.m. SIPA Auditorium Invited plenary and keynote presentations. Welcome reception and poster session. This event brings together law enforcement agencies, industry and academia to share knowledge and to showcase cutting-edge research. The format will include workshops, oral presentations and poster sessions lead by current practitioners, academics and graduate students. Sessions will feature key topics such as comparative science techniques, DNA, trace evidence, toxicology fire debris, computer forensics and forensic psychology.
