The Write Stuff Magazine









Groups of 4 or 5 students will create a magazine for publication.
Each group will pick a topic and MUST receive teacher approval for topic
o Example: Music, Video games, Sports, Art, Books, etc.
Once each group has picked a topic, each group will need to come up with a title for
their magazine.
Each member of the group will write two different articles for the magazine.
The magazine must include all of the following types of articles:
o Narrative
o Descriptive
o Informative
o Persuasive
o Poetry
The magazine can also include interviews, comics, fun activities such as crossword
puzzles, and illustrations.
Each article will be hand-written by the student and the student will follow the Writing
Process for each article.
Once all of the articles have been written, the students will create a presentation to
present their magazine to the class
The students will use the rubric to make sure they are following all directions.
