Effective April 1, 2016 Irrigation Three Phase Service APPLICABILITY Service under this schedule is applicable to services that are three phase, standard voltage, and supplied through one point of delivery for farm and ranch members for the operation of irrigation pump motors. If service is provided at primary voltage, the contract for service shall specify the point of delivery, establish all metering costs to be paid by the member, and delineate ownership and control of such facilities. AVAILABILITY Service under this schedule is available at points on the Cooperative’s interconnected system where existing facilities of adequate capacity and desired phase and voltage are available, and additional investment by the Cooperative for new transmission, substation, or terminal facilities is not necessary to supply the desired service. Irrigation is a seasonal rate which begins with the member’s meter reading for the April billing cycle and ends with the member’s meter reading for the October billing cycle (March 25th – October 24th). If electric service is not going to be used anytime during the irrigation season, the Cooperative will be notified so that electric service can be disconnected. Service that has been disconnected for the season will be subject to the idle service fee. Irrigation service used anytime throughout the irrigation season will be subject to paying the Minimum Charge in addition to the charges for any power used. METER READ Meters will be read by the Cooperative on the 24th of each irrigation month at midnight. BILLING DEMAND The Billing Demand is the average kW supplied during the rolling 15 minute period at maximum use during the billing period. PHASE PROTECTION The Cooperative will not be responsible for damage to member’s equipment caused by the loss of one or more phases serving member’s equipment. It is the member’s responsibility to obtain and install adequate phase protection for all three phase motors. MONTHLY CHARGE The Monthly Charge is the sum of the Access Charge, Billing Demand, and kWh Charge at the following Rates: *Customer Class 0-30 KW 31-90 KW Access Charge May thru September (5 total billing cycles) $ 215.00 $ 690.00 Billing Demand Kilowatt hour (kWh) Charge SREC Rate Designation $2.00 per kW $2.00 per kW $0.037 per kWh $0.037 per kWh 624 626 91-170 KW $ 714.00 $2.00 per kW $0.037 per kWh 628 Above 170 KW $ 746.00 $2.00 per kW $0.037 per kWh 630 Note: *The customer class is set by the customer’s peak demand load during the prior irrigation season or calculated for a new irrigation service. The Cooperative may adjust the customer class during the current irrigation season if significant site changes have occurred. MINIMUM CHARGE The monthly minimum charge shall be the Access Charge collected over 5 billing cycles (May thru September). ABANDONED SERVICE Should a member’s service be physically disconnected for a continuous 12-month period, the Cooperative reserves the right to physically retire the service anytime thereafter. NON SEASONAL USE This service is available October 25th through March 24th upon prior approval of SREC management. The total connected load shall be no more than 100 amps. Requests for non-seasonal use must be made prior to the conclusion of the current irrigation season or a $25.00 connect fee may be applied. Charges for non-seasonal use follow: one-time access charge of $30.00 billed in the April billing cycle; and power (kWh) billed at the irrigation rate in the April billing cycle.
