Consultation & Diagnosis
Your initial consultation appointment
involves an extensive clinical examination,
to include all radiographs, study models
and photographs. Please allow at least an
hour for this appointment.

Following treatment, your new tooth
alignment is retained by means of
orthodontic retainers. The most common
retainers are removable and look like
aligners. They are often used in conjunction
with fixed bonded retainers (very thin
wires), which are placed on the inside
surface of your teeth. We will recommend
the type that will best suit you, in order to
maintain your new your smile.

The Damon® System
The Damon System is not just about

Damon Clear delivers all the benefits of

Insignia
Insignia treatment uses customised
brackets and wires tailored to your
specific dental anatomy. Each aspect
is precisely calculated to affect tooth
movement in the most optimal way,
resulting in fewer dental visits, exceptional
comfort and faster treatment time.

Lingual Braces
The Harmony System
The word “lingual” originates from Latin
and means “close to the tongue”. Lingual
appliances correct misaligned teeth and
bite problems using a fixed brace that
has been bonded to the inner side of the
teeth, so it is not in view. Harmony lingual
braces are fully customised for each
individual, including the arch wire. As
they are tailor-made for you and attached
on the inner surface, they really are the
invisible appliance of choice.
Clear Aligners
Invisalign®
Invisalign is a removable brace system
that uses a series of transparent custom
moulded aligners to move your teeth,
it does not require wires or brackets.
As the aligners are transparent, they are
almost invisible and barely noticeable.
Simpli5
Simpli5 is a system of clear aligners
similar to Invisalign, used to treat mild
orthodontic problems. It requires only
5 aligners per jaw and typical treatment
time is between 10–20 weeks.

Interceptive Treatment
Interceptive Orthodontics enables us to
influence development of the jaws and
teeth. By creating or maintaining space
for teeth early on, young people can
be more confident and the need for
tooth extraction in the final alignment
is greatly reduced.

Payment Planning
Payment Policy
We take care to make our payment policy
transparent. It is our practice policy to
give patients full information about the
cost of their orthodontic treatment before
any treatment is undertaken. A written
estimate/treatment plan will be provided
following your orthodontic consultation.
Payment Plans
Monthly Payments
At Devon Square Orthodontics we offer
our patients an interest free payment
plan over a maximum 18 month period.
We ask for an initial payment of 25% of
the cost of your treatment, to be paid by
either credit or debit card upon booking
your appliance fitting appointment, and
the remaining balance is then spread over
either 6, 12 or 18 months.
Payment in Full
Should you choose to pay in full for your
treatment you will receive a 5% discount
off the total amount.
For your information
Should you request for the appliance
to be removed early, Devon Square
Orthodontics reserves the right to
charge for any services received from
the practice during the course of your
treatment to date. Failure to meet
arranged finance agreements may result
in termination of treatment.

Treatment is extremely individual;
there are also different types

This price list should be viewed
as a guide only. You will be
provided with all the treatment
options and their associated
costs following assessment
and diagnosis. Prices are for
treatment to both upper and
lower teeth. The maximum fee

Emergency Services for Patients of other Orthodontists
If you are visiting the area, either
on holiday, business or study,
and are unable to get home to
see your orthodontist and your
appliance breaks, the following
services are available to you at

part way through treatment
elsewhere you will need to
transfer to us for treatment.

What our Fees include
Fees include
• All routine appointments whilst in active treatment
• All the necessary orthodontic appliances.
• Instruction in appliance care, oral hygiene and an introductory oral hygiene kit.
• Correspondence and administrative costs.
Fees do not include
• Any dental treatment required by patient’s own dentist.
• The replacement of lost or severely damaged appliances, including repeated breakages.
• Missed appointments incur a charge
(50% of appointment fee), due to high administrative costs, unless 24 hours notice
is given.
• Any additional sundries (toothbrushes,
mouthwash etc) after receiving your introductory oral hygiene kit.
• Supervision of retainers beyond a year following the completion of active treatment.
• Mouthguards.

Tooth Whitening
Whitening Treatment
Teeth naturally darken and discolour
with age, but staining is made worse by
such things as smoking, red wine, tea
and coffee.
Teeth can be whitened quickly and
effectively in the comfort of your home,
using our custom-made trays and
whitening solution. Tooth Whitening
is an ideal way to create a brighter,
whiter, radiant smile and more youthful
appearance which, in turn, brings a
natural boost to self esteem.

Whitening treatment fee
£300.00
Treatment includes:
• Consultation with Dr Hopkins
• Custom-made upper and lower whitening trays
• 8 tubes of whitening solution
Tubes of top-up whitening solution can
be purchased by patients who have
had previous whitening treatment with
us. The cost is £15 per tube, plus a £25
appointment fee as a prescription is
required from Dr Hopkins.
Tooth Whitening treatment is available
to patients who have completed
orthodontic treatment with us and are
over the age of 18.
