Common: Wild Mustard
Scientific: Brassica kaber
Affected Crops: Corn, cotton, soybeans.
Identification: The seedling has rounded cotyledons and the leaves are opposite
and hairy. The plant has conspicuous clusters of yellow flowers at branch
terminals. Its pod is cylindrical on a long stalk.
Geographical Distribution: Widespread throughout the United States in waste
areas and cultivated fields.
