Job Description - Developer (Web front end)
LCP has developed a market leading tool to deliver funding, investment and risk
analysis information, which is available on desktop, tablet and mobile.
We are looking to strengthen our development team as we build further
functionality to enhance our user experience.

Job purpose
To help develop and maintain, our client-facing web applications. The role will mainly be
focused on front-end web development. As part of our internal development, we have
built a set of bespoke Javascript libraries that we will be expanding as we carry out
future developments.
We are looking for a front-end developer to strength our team. Predominately the
person should be comfortable coding in the following areas:

Javascript

CSS

HTML

Key responsibilities:
To be a competent, active, engaged and willing member of the Development Team.
Work with non-IT technical users to understand requirements and business aims.
Identifying problems and providing solutions in a timely manner.
Provide user support for the sites and applications that LCP develops.
To keep up to date with the developments and changes in the field of IT Development as
well as the tools and techniques used;

Skills / Knowledge
The successful candidate should be able to demonstrate working knowledge of, and a

desire to develop, the skills below. In addition the person will need to be comfortable
working as part of a team, have an enthusiasm for providing an excellent user
experience and keen to learn new skills on the job.

Javascript and popular Javascript frameworks including JQuery and Bootstrap (we
also use D3 so knowledge of this would be useful but not necessary)

HTML / CSS / Responsive design techniques

UI / UX skills

C# / Visual Studio

Microsoft technical stack (Team Foundation Server / IIS / Windows / ASP.Net)
Good communication skills are required with the ability to discuss technical matters in
non-technical language.
