Pt SD had experienced difficulties when purchasing over the counter medication as the pharmacist misdiagnosed symptoms and treated the condition as a thrush infection when in fact it was eventually diagnosed as a Urinary tract infection. Appointment System – The general feeling from the group was that they are not happy at being unable to make appointments on line as none available, the group were informed that the appointment system is due to be reviewed presently and that they were welcome to provide suggestions in writing to Laura which could be taken to the meeting. The third letter invites the patient to contact the Practice Manager within 14 days to discuss the matter. Failure to do so will result in the patient being deducted from the practice list. The patient is informed by letter that they have 30 days in which to register at another practice. Planning for WinterThe winter initiative scheme which the practice is running was explained to the group. There is a collection box in the waiting room at each site along with a form which patients can complete, data will be submitted on a monthly basis. Any comments left will be used by the practice to improve our service. AOBD O’R raised concerns as when she attended the surgery recently she felt faint. She stated that 2 members of the nursing team passed her sitting on the landing and ignored her.
