Students will learn the Inupiaq names of ten land animals. Students will make a mask of the animal that was assigned to them. Essential Vocabulary: Inupiaq names of all ten animals. Peers Oratory OVERVIEW OF PERFORMANCE TASK: Introduce the animal and have the students color an illustration. Assign an animal to each student to research. Students will make a mask of their animal. Materials and Resources: Illustration of animals Crayons Animal furs Construction paper string Closure: Presentation to the community and the school.
