Welcome to Web Design and HTML5 My name is Ms. Masihi pronounced masseehee My Credentials I have been teaching Computer related subjects since the year 2000. In 2011, I earned a Master of Arts degree specializing in Education Technology from CSUN In the past, I have taught; word processing, spreadsheets, databases, multimedia presentations, publications, Stick figure Animation Scratch programming and Google apps such as docs, sheets and sites In 2008, I learned to create websites with Dreamweaver but didn’t learn to code until 2010 with XHTML. I find myself fascinated with the language however, the language of the web is an evolving one and in this course you will learn the most current language; HTML5. What will I learn? In this course you will learn the design fundamentals of web pages and websites through a fictitious story called TadsTees. You will learn to code with HTML5 (Hyper Text Markup language)– this provides structure or building blocks You will learn to style or format with CSS (cascading style sheet) You will be introduced to the new tags in HTML5 and supporting technologies such as geolocation, audio, video, canvas, web forms, web storage, web workers, CSS-animation, transitions and 2D and 3Dtransformations How do I access the course material and get graded? There are two ways to access the course material; the local server and the course website at www.karinemasihi.com/HTML5 You will save the completed projects in your server folder and I will either walk around and grade you from the computers or access your server folder at afp://10.4.11.135 How is the grading weighed?
