Phoraid – Product Information
Dilution Rates – Standard Disinfectant 3000 ppm A/v Iodine
Phoraid is a general purpose disinfectant developed to destroy dangerous bacteria ,
viruses and fungi on hard surfaces and skin. Is effective against MRSA, C.diff, Salmonella
and most known pathogens.
Phoraid remains stable and effective at any of the following dilutions whilst is retains it’s
diluted colour and is not contaminated by organic matter.
HAND WASHING
1 Part Phoraid 30 Parts water
FOOT BATHS
1 Part Phoraid 60 Parts water
FLOOR WASHING
1 Part Phoraid 60 Parts water

PROCEDURE
Procedure for disinfection of equipment containing fibre optics
(which is unable to be autoclaved).
1)
Remove all excess debris from instrument by flushing under
running water.
2)
Disinfect the instrument with disinfectant at the appropriate
dilutions as shown above.
3)
Following disinfection flush or immerse equipment in a solution
of 0.1M sodium thiosulphate for one minute and rinse in
dimineralised water.
4)
Air dry the equipment and store under clean conditions.
