There’s Abanazer as an evil pirate captain (boooooooo!), a loveable dame, Widow Twanky (how loveable is she?), a couple of genies (‘cos two is definitely better than one) and a penguin of unusual size named Monty. Queen Marguerite is preparing for the inevitable but Queen Marie refuses to accept that the time has come. She lives with her mom, Maddie, and their boarder, Bill, a poet with a morose sense of humour. Tensions rise and jealousies flare when Jhanna’s dad, King, an Elvis impersonator who abandoned the family ten years earlier, makes an unexpected reappearance. While often very funny, this is ultimately a deeply moving play about the power of family and love.
