Describe the discovery that led scientists to question John Dalton's model of the atom and to favour Thomson's model. 2. What experimental findings are the bases for the 1909 model of the atom? 3. What shortcomings in the atomic model of Ernest Rutherford led to the development of Niels Bohr's model? 4. The Bohr model is where we stop in regular chemistry classes (unless you are in HL IB).
