Stewart Gordon – Gupta Simulation – Stone-Carver’s Guild
The Stone-Carver’s Guild
Private knowledge:
Our king is one of our best customers and we want to support him. Bhilsa, is,
however, also one of our best customers. Bhilsa leans toward support of
Vishnu and has patronized many new temples and installed many new stone
images.
Our quarry is located quite close to the invasion route to Bhilsa.
Our business depends on caravans, especially to the south and west. The
main road runs through Bhilsa. What if the roads are badly disrupted or all
of the carts are seized to take grain to the troops? If the army consumes
most of the grain, the remainder will become more costly to our members.
Our guild is Buddhist and we are philosophically opposed to war. The
Buddha showed that war brings suffering to all.
Hint:
Who might be an ally if we decide to oppose war?
We are a wealthy guild with money to lend.
