 Assignment
There will be several individual assignments and one term project. For the term project,
students will form groups of up to three students. With a majority vote, a free rider can be
dismissed from a group within two weeks after the assigned date. The dismissed student can
in turn do the project alone, or join another group, if this is acceptable to that other group.
 Course Description
To study more substantial programs and to illustrate sophisticated coding practices
To use JDBC to access data from relational databases
To perform basic network communication by using sockets.
To enable developers to built flexible, data-driven graphical user interfaces
To develop components based on java beans component architecture
To develop Web-based solutions with servlets
To be able to create Java Server Pages
To understand the Simple Object Access Protocol and how it uses XML
