Speciality Business Informatics and Communications in the English Language The speciality has a history of more than 45 years. The education provides theoretical preparation and applied knowledge which allow the graduates to work out programme products, to implement activities on projecting, incorporating and maintaining of information systems servicing various business levels. During the third year of education in the speciality are studied compulsory and eligible facultative academic disciplines: Computing Systems Architecture, Databases, Computer Networks and Telecommunications, Internet Technologies, Statistical Research of Subordinations, Operations Management, Communications Infrastructure, Theory of Statistics and Probability, Introduction to Econometrics, Fundamentals of Applied Programming Systems Elaboration, Operating Systems. During the fourth year of education in the speciality are studied compulsory and eligible special academic disciplines: Information Systems Projecting, Visual Programming, Programming in Databases, Business Analysis of Information Systems, Technologies for Web-Systems Building, Business Communications, Models of Internet Applications Building, Business Processes and Models, Enterprise Resources Management Systems including telecommunication companies, Business Intelligent Systems, Integrated Information Systems Elaboration and Management, Information Technologies in Financial Systems, Creation of Client-Server Based Systems, Unstructured Information Processing, Information Systems and Technologies Auditing, Multimedia Applications. Graduates from the speciality are able to work in Bulgaria as well as in any other countries in Europe and in the world as: information systems developers, implementers and administrators, project managers, etc. They can work at the: software houses, various fields of economic activity, state and public administration, financial institutions, banks, telecommunication companies, educational institutions, etc.
