Title: “Benefits of open-jaw ear impression technique over closed-jaw ear
impression technique: A COMPARITIVE STUDY”
Training
As part of my Diploma I have been trained and have hands on experience for the

 Comprehensive case history interview.
 Overall assessment and management of individuals with speech, language and
hearing impairments.
 Screening neonates for hearing acuity in hospital setup using otoacoustic
emissions and Pediatric Audiometer.
 Screening children for speech and language pathologies and hearing acuity in
school setup.
 Complete pediatric diagnostic audiological evaluation which includes
behavioral audiometry, visual reinforcement audiometry, immitance testing,
and physiological evaluation including oto-acoustic emissions, auditory
brainstem responses.
 Complete adult diagnostic audiological evaluation which includes regular pure
tone audiometry, immitance testing, auditory brainstem responses, late latency
responses, otoacoustic emissions, vestibular evoked myogenic responses.
 Testing for retro-cochlear or cochlear pathology through various audiometric
tests like short increment sensitivity index, tone decay test, supra threshold
adaptive test, etc.
 Testing for malingering hearing loss.
 Testing for central auditory processing disorder through pitch pattern test,
dichotic CV test, gap detection test, etc.
 Routine testing for individuals exposed to noisy environments.
 Hearing aid selection, dispensing, and programming of different types of
conventional, programmable, and digital hearing aids.
 Assessing the candidacy for cochlear implants and mapping.
 Electro acoustic measurement and real ear measurements of hearing aids.
 Tinnitus and hyperacusis assessment and intervention.

CLINICAL EXPERIENCE
Audiology
 Measurements of hearing acuity of patients of all ages, using pure tone
audiometry, immittance audiometry, behaviour observation audiometry,
brainstem evoked response audiometry.
 Administration and interpretation of audiological diagnostic procedures
such as SISI, STAT, ABLB, special tests with immittance audiometry, etc..

risk register OAE's and other methods.
 Counseling regarding prevention and management of auditory impairments.

Administration of various speech language tests, both subjective and
objective including use of analog, digital and computer based instruments.

management of their speech-language problems.

 Use of Auditory Verbal Techniques for the auditory habilitation of hearing
aid recipients and pediatric Cochlear Implant recipients.
