increased.
Today the new TÜV NORD Group is present in Europe, America, Asia and the Middle East

The TÜV NORD CERT GmbH has more than 30 years experience in the certification of
electrical appliances and machinery.
By confirmation of TÜV NORD CERT you can assume that your products fulfil the
standard requirements.
We are highly motivated and concentrate hard on the certification which you need in
order to operate your business successfully.
One of our services is to issue the German National ‘GS Mark’ based on submitted CB
documentation.
The GS mark stands for ‘safety tested’ and can give you a significant competitive
advantage.
Applicant applying for a National Mark can be:

National manufacturer or his agent
Foreign manufacturer
Foreign manufacturer via representative resident in the country
Commercial agent
The following documentation is required:
Formless application letter, stating name and address
CB Test Certificate
CB Test Report
Documentation (e.g. manuals, circuit diagrams, list and specification of components etc.)
TÜV NORD Contract (available on request)
We always require a specimen of the product when a CB Test Certificate is presented for
national recognition.
We are prepared to recognize annexes to the CB Test Certificate and Test Report
covering our national deviations.
Applications for the CB-Scheme are dealt with priority and an offer will be send to you in
a timely manner.
First factory inspection and annual follow up inspections are required to maintain the TÜV
NORD CERT Certificates. A list of fees for the inspections is available.

Certification Marks
TÜV NORD CERT issues the following Certification Marks for electrotechnical products
(household appliances, luminairies, laboratory equipment, office appliances etc.),
mechanical products, sport equipment, playground equipment, toys etc.

To gain access to the EU Market TÜV NORD CERT can assist you with the evaluation of
your products to the following Directives:
Low Voltage Directive (2006/95/EC)
Machinery Directive (98/37/EC)
EMC Directive (89/336/EEC)
Medical Device Directive (93/42/EEC)
Pressure Equipment Directive (97/23/EC)
