DRug Eluting Bbsorbable Metal Scaffold (DREAMS) Puria Rafsanjani Nejad Shahab shiraghaee Percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI): Is a non-surgical procedure used to treat the stenotic (narrowed) coronary arteries of the heart found in coronary heart disease. Bio-Absorbable Drug-eluting stent Bio-Absorbable Drug-eluting stent DREAMS was optimized to provide a longer scaffolding time than its predecessor and drug elution for inhibition of cell proliferation. It is made of a magnesium alloy that is gradually absorbed. The absorption process is complete after 9–12 months. The scaffold strut surface is coated with a 1μm matrix of the absorbable polymer carrier polylactic-coglycolic acid and the antiproliferative drug paclitaxel.
