Main events of Cleopatra’s life
48 BC – Cleopatra tries to be Queen of Egypt but is forced to flee to Syria
instead.
48 BC - Julius Caesar makes Cleopatra the ruler of Egypt.
47 BC - Cleopatra and Caesar’s son is born. He is called Caesarion.
46 BC - Cleopatra chooses to live in Rome with Caesar.
44 BC - Caesar is killed; Cleopatra flees back to Egypt.
43 BC – After Caesar’s death, Mark Antony become the ruler of the eastern
part of the Roman Empire.
41 BC - Mark Antony meets Cleopatra and follows her to Egypt. They have
three children together.
30 BC - Mark Antony is defeated in a war and commits suicide. Cleopatra
kills herself too. (According to legend, she lets an asp bite her on the chest).
30 BC - Egypt becomes a Roman province.
