INTRODUCTION
Two Types Of Mobile Networks:
• Infrastructured Network: Network with fixed and wired
gateways. Bridges for these networks are known as base
stations.
• Ad-hoc Networks: These networks have no infrastructure.
The nodes act as routers. These maintain the routes to other
nodes in the network.

PROTOCOLS OVERVIEW
• DSDV: Destination-Sequenced Distance-Vector Routing
protocol(DSDV). Every mobile node in the network maintains a
routing table in which all of the possible destinations within the
network and the number of hops to each destination is recorded.
• AODV: Ad-hoc on demand Distance Vector Routing (AODV). This is a
on demand routing protocol. The source node does not maintain a
routing table. It initiates “path discovery” by sending RREQ packets.
