AIM:
The main aim of this project is to design power management for Hi-ways.
PURPOSE:
The purpose of the project is to develop a system to control switching of LEDS automatically
according to the Light Intensity.

DESCRIPTION:
Now a day's every system is automated in order to face new challenges. In the present
days Automated systems have less manual operations, flexibility, reliability and accurate.
Due to this demand every field prefers automated control systems. Especially in the field of
electronics automated systems are giving good performance. Sometimes the term automation
means with less intervention of human.
The main goal of our project “power management for Hi -ways” is to control the
switching of LEDS automatically according to the Light Intensity. If any vehicle comes IR
PHOTODIODE detects that vehicle and LED will be ON. This allows us to realize the task
efficiently and effectively without the intervention of human by making it automated.
This project is designed around a microcontroller which forms the heart of the project.
In our project we are going to make use of a sensor called LDR which stands for Light
Dependent Resistor which senses the intensity of light. And accordingly the LEDS are made
ON and OFF. The LDR is interfaced with microcontroller.
The control unit consists of a microcontroller with its associated circuitry. According
to this project, the LEDS are made ON and OFF according to the Light Intensity. The

RESULT:
According to this project, we can implement a system to improve the power
management for high ways using microcontroller.
