JOB DESCRIPTION Role Student Marketing Intern – e-commerce Full-time summer position for post-secondary students Reports To Marketing Coordinator or Manager, IT Summary Of Duties The Student Marketing Intern – e-commerce will assist BNG in strengthening its e-commerce strategies and tools to support business growth. The Student Intern – e-commerce will execute certain components of BNG’s overall marketing strategy, including implementing its social media strategy, enhancing its internal database to support client-focused marketing initiatives, and creating and implementing an eMedia strategy aimed at delivering a consistent, timely and relevant message tailored to the specific needs of clients. This role may also assist in raising BNG’s visibility in community events and support special projects throughout the work term. Core Duties* With guidance from an external marketing consultant and internal Marketing Coordinator (role to be filled), execute elements of BNG’s approved marketing plan: Develop consistent tools and processes to build BNG’s social media presence (LinkedIn, Facebook, Twitter, etc.); Identify key social media channels where areas of expertise can be championed; Assist with the development and execution of regular blogs to raise BNG’s profile among the communities in which it operates; Assist with the development and launch of BNG’s dairy database to provide benchmarking data for client use; Work with the Manager, IT to develop BNG’s internal database for data mining in support of client service; Improve search engine optimization of BNG’s re-launched website Develop internal processes to organize and manage client contact data to support sales and marketing initiatives. Student Marketing Intern Ensure the consistent application of corporate branding in all published documents and other media. Contribute to BNG’s visibility in community events, preparing support materials and assisting in the events as needed. Assist with special projects in sales and marketing as required. Required Skills and Attributes Skills and Experience *Note: Attributes Actively working towards a post-secondary education with a concentration in marketing and/or ecommerce Creative thinker Strong planning, organization and execution skills High attention to detail Prior work experience in marketing / sales / technology an asset Strong written and oral communication skills Collaborative – integrates information across the company High level of integrity, confidentially, and accountability Good time management skills Self-motivated; able to work well with minimal supervision Proficiency in various social media applications and the Internet The “Core Duties” is a summary of the duties that are essential to this role and is not an exhaustive list.
