Activate SCAD Student Web Space Savannah College of Art and Design students are provided with personal web server space. To activate your space: Log into MySCAD, accessible at www.scad.edu Select the MyInfo Tab Select Personal Information Select Activate Student Web Space Read the Usage agreement that establishes the web space policies A window is displayed with the account user name and the path /url to view the web space Click on the Create Web Space button A message will be displayed that the web space is being created. Maintenance of Personal SCAD Web Space Once web space has been successfully activated, it can be accessed from within MySCAD or by going directly to http://studentpages.scad.edu/uftp/ Enter the username (which is your SCAD email identity) and e-mail password to access the files area. For security reasons, do not check the Save this password option. For example, if your email address is [email protected] then your username is jsmith. If you do not know your email password, please contact the SCAD HelpDesk, 525-4567, for the information regarding the procedure on resetting e-mail passwords. If you would prefer, you can also use your own ftp client to move files into your web space. Simply point your client to studentpages.scad.edu and use your email username and password to authenticate Remember, only files placed in the directory called web_pages will be used in your website. The first page of your website should be called index.html. Other files that are uploaded to this space outside of the web pages folder are not visible on the Internet.
