What is Aquatic Resources?
 Refers to plants and animals living in the marine and
freshwater habitats that have biological and
commercial importance.
 The richest, most diverse and complex communities of
an aquatic habitat reside in the NARROW COASTAL
STRIP where land meets the body of water.
 It is here where a wealthy population of organisms live
 It is said that the total biomass in a square meter
during low tide is atleast 10 TIMES HIGHER THAN
200 METERS BELOW, and is several thousand times
higher than that found in most abyssal area.
