Summer Math: Entering Grade 8
IXL Activity
In an effort to keep your math skills fresh throughout the summer months it is highly
suggested that you schedule a specific amount of time each week during the summer to work
on IXL. Completing this task by completing a lot of hours in only several sittings at the start or
end of the summer, defeat the purpose of maintaining your mathematics skills during the
summer.
Your task is to choose from the list of activities below following these guidelines:
1) Choose an activity from each of the categories:
a. The Number System (NS)
b. Geometry (G)
c. Expressions and Equations (EE)
d. Statistics and Probability (SP)
e. Ratios and Proportional Relationships (RP)
2) Complete a minimum of 10 question and earn at least 85% in each topic
3) As you complete an activity, fill out the IXL Log Sheet as follows:
Grade
8
Topic
Inequalities
Section #
