QUEEN’S CANCER RESEARCH INSTITUTE
In 2003, three internationally recognized groups of cancer researchers at Queen’s University
were brought together under one roof in the newly created Queen’s Cancer Research Institute
(QCRI). The QCRI is comprised of 3 divisions:
Cancer Clinical Trials (NCIC Clinical Trials Group)
Cancer Care and Epidemiology (Health services research)
Cancer Biology and Genetics (Basic science laboratories)
There are a variety of clinical research fellowship opportunities at QCRI. All divisions have a
strong track record of successful research fellowships undertaken by clinicians from a variety of
disciplines including medical oncology, hematology, and radiation oncology. Many trainees have
simultaneously pursued graduate degrees through the Department of Community Health &
Epidemiology and School of Policy Studies during their fellowship.
Individuals interested in pursuing advanced research training in the following disciplines are
encourage to contact members of the Queen’s Cancer Research Institute to discuss fellowship
options.
