Curriculum vitae of Ángela Tröndle vocalist, composer, pianist Ángela Tröndle was born on the 7th of January 1983 and got the first musicinstruction when she was 4 – she was taught violin by her father. He as well as her mother is a classical musician so Ángela grew up in a very musical surrounding and had the possibility to try out many instruments. She started with recorder (soprano and alto) lessons at the age of 8 and always played a little bit of piano. But her passion to singing was there very early, too. She started singing choir in the primary school and did this for a long time dealing with a lot of styles (Classical, Jazz, Pop, Avant-garde) having often Solo-parts. From1998 on she started with Jazz-singing (Yella Schwarzer) and piano lessons. – – – – 2001-2003 Music pedagogy studies with the main Instruments piano, Violin/Viola and classical voice at the University for Music and dramatic Arts Graz (Austria); 2003-2006 on Jazz-voice study with Laurie Antonioli at University for Music and Dramatic Arts Graz; 2004 Foundation of “MOSAIK” (Quintet with the emphasis on her original music); first performance of this program in June 2004 at the local theatre in Graz (Austria); May 2005: laureate at the young-Jazz-talent-Support-program “1. Marianne Mendt Jazzfestival” in Austria: Performance at Festival in St. Pölten, Austria. Ángela finished her Bachelor Studies in the Major Jazzvoice in June 2006 with distinction and has been accepted to the Masters Program of Manhattan School of Music but because of financial reasons she decided to go to New York for private studies (September-December 2006) – between 1999 and 2006 she attended masterclasses / took lessons with Ines Reiger, Lauren Newton, Theo Bleckmann, Peter Eldridge, Jon Hendricks, Bobby McFerrin, Maria Schneider, Dave Liebman, Jason Moran, Bruth Barth etc. – she is enrolled for a Masters Program Jazzcomposition and Arranging at the University for Music and Dramatic Arts Graz, Austria, with Ed Partyka – between 2004 and 2006 Ángela gained several scholarships from the University as well as the Austrian government. Ángela gained the annual scholarship for music 2007, given by the government of salzburg (5000€) Ángela lives and works in Graz, Austria. In january 2009, Ángela finished her Bachelor in Jazzvoice-Pedagogy with distinction and has been selected for the supportprogram New Austrian Sound of Music 2009/10, which will support her and her projects in concerts abroad.
