Research Assistant in the Department of Computer Science with Dr. Milind Tambe.
• Research on developing algorithms for sequential planning under uncertainty in multi agent
systems.

• Focus on standard sequential planning models like POMDPs, MDPs, Dec-MDPs and DecPOMDPs etc.
• Emphasis on influence maximization in real-world social network domains.
• Work done in collaboration with a non-profit agency for homeless youth: My Friend’s Place,
which tries to reduce incidence of HIV and drug usage amongst homeless youth.
2. University of Southern California, Los Angeles, California. May 2011 – July 2011.
Summer Research Intern in the Department of Computer Science with Dr. Bhaskar Krishnamachari.
• Worked on indoor localization using wireless sensor networks.
• Developed a GUI based application for tracking people’s movements inside a building in real
time.
• Coded the ECOLOCATION localization algorithm using nesC/C++ for TELOS-B motes.
• Extensively measured the sensitivity of the algorithm to various parameters such as mote transmitting power, number of motes in network, etc.

Summer Research Intern in the Department of Computer Science with Dr. Rakesh Verma.
• Worked on classification of PubMed abstracts, based on their relevance to chemical terrorism
using an ensemble of Lasso, SVM and decision trees.
• Results presented at CCICADA Research Retreat 2010.

• Built an intrusion detection system (IDS) by using a multi-objective genetic algorithm for feature selection and SVM tools for classification.
