Community Outreach Specialist
A Food Security Community Outreach Specialist (COS) position is available with the Immigrant
Health and Cancer Disparities Service. This is an opportunity to join a growing, dedicated health
disparities elimination service delivery and research team that utilizes creative solutions to
address social and economic determinants of health.
Candidate must be passionate about the Service’s mission, detail-oriented with superb
organizational skills, creative, love working with people, an outstanding writer, and bilingual,
preferably in Spanish.
The Community Outreach Specialist (COS) plays a vital role within the Immigrant Health and
Cancer Disparities Service, Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences. The COS
executes outreach programs and protocols. As an integral member of the research team and in
compliance with all regulatory, institutional, and departmental requirements, the COS performs
data collection, entry, and analysis for research projects, databases, and research protocols for the
Service. The COS maintains close relationships with staff at partnering agencies and institutions.
