Hart Vita 5 Other Teaching Hands-On Instruction While universities and colleges teaching methods are well formulated and regimented, the average regional theatre has a teaching component in the form apprentice or internship program. Flat Rock Playhouse had both an apprentice program and an internship program. Pirate Playhouse had an intern program. Burt Reynolds Institute for Theatre Training was a school for actors but they were to do technical work when they were not acting. And though I taught no formal classes at Buena Park High School, students learned and worked with me on a constant basis. At all of the non academic venues, and beyond the classroom during college and university employment, my interest has always been the furthering of knowledge of those around me, be they students or employees.
