SOLAR
SYSTEM
The Solar
System
is the
planetary
system,
which
includes
the
central
star - the
Sun - and
all the
natural
space
objects
orbiting
the Sun.
SUN

Sun is the only star
of the solar system.
Around the sun
turning the other
objects of this system
planets and their
moons, dwarf planets
and their moons,
asteroids, meteors,
comets, and cosmic
dust. Solar radiation
sustains life on Earth.
MERCURY

Mercury is the
closest planet to the
Sun of the Solar
System, orbiting
the Sun in 88 Earth
days. The planet is
named after the
Roman god of
commerce - swift
Mercury, as it
moves across the
sky faster than the
other planets.

The Venus is the
second innermost
planet of the solar
system. It is named
after Venus, the
goddess of love of
the Roman
pantheon. This is
only one of the
eight major planets
of the solar system,
named in honor of a
female deity.
THE EARTH

The Earth is the
third planet from
the Sun. Fifth the
size of all the
planets in the solar
system. It is also the
largest in terms of
diameter, mass and
density of the
terrestrial planets.
MARS

Mars is the fourth
planet from the Sun
and the seventh the
size of the planet of
the Solar System.
Named in honor of
Mars - the Roman
god of Mars
sometimes called
the "red planet"
because of the
reddish color
surface war.
JUPITER

Jupiter is the fifth
planet from the
Sun, the largest in
the solar system.
Along with Saturn,
Uranus and
Neptune, Jupiter is
classified as a gas
giant.
SATURN

Saturn is the sixth
planet from the Sun
and the second
largest planet in
the solar system
after Jupiter.
Saturn is named
after the Roman
god of agriculture.
URANUS
 Uranus
is the
planet of the
solar system, the
seventh planet
from the Sun.
Named after the
Greek god of the
sky Uranus.
NEPTUNE
 Neptune
is the
eighth and
farthest planet
in the solar
system. The
planet was
named after
the Roman god
of the sea.
PLUTO
 Pluto
is one of the
largest known
dwarf planets in
our solar system.
Pluto is originally
qualified as a
classical planet,
but it is now
considered a
dwarf planet
