Weaknesses:

Need to ‘prime the pump’ to get going employees will only use KM if they get
out more than they put in.

Users don’t always know where to place
new knowledge - it tends to congregate
in ‘default’ locations.

KM systems can descend into chaos if
not structured - users can be
overloaded with choices and content.
