Higher-Layer Protocols and Their Applications
• File Transfer Protocol (FTP) — Moves files between devices
• Simple Network-Management Protocol (SNMP)
— Primarily reports errors and sets values
• Telnet — Serves as a terminal emulation protocol
• Simple Mail Transfer Protocol (SMTP)
— Provides electronic mail services from a client towards a mail server
• Post Office Protocol (POP) — a protocol used to retrieve e-mail from a mail server.
• Hypertext Documents(WEB) — Websurfing

IP Address setup from network
NetBurner IPsetup is used to configure
WebPower network parameters.
IP:
The network address of the Webpower unit. The bits with a corresponding 1 in
the Network mask must be set according to your network rules.
Network Mask:
A Filter that tell which bits in the network address that are fixed and which bits
that can be changed.
Gateway:
Network traffic that do not fit to the network mask will be directed to the default
(External) gateway
DNS:
Domain Name Server. Translates an URL to a network IP address.
Send ‘www.bbc.co.uk’ to the dns server and it will magically
respond with the IP address :212.58.224.84
Baudrate:
This is the speed used at the configuration serial port, normally set to
115200bps
NetBurner SW

want to configure
Fill in the ‘NDK Settings’ as below
IP:
Set according to your network rules. NEVER choose one at random
Network Mask:
Set according to your network rules. NEVER EVER choose one at random.
GateWay:
In a closed private network, leave at zeroes.
DNS:
In a closed private network, leave at zeroes.
Baudrate:
For Webpower, this shall always be 115200.
Configuration
POWERFUL TECHNOLOGY
Software download from the Network
AutoUpdate will download a new code image to your NetBurner card
in the WebPower unit.
This update can be done from any point that has network access
In order to use AutoUpdate you must:
I. Have a Static IP address and mask assigned to your NetBurner device.
II. Have a working network connection between your host computer and
your NetBurner device.
