Trousdale County Schools Focused Lesson Plan 2015-16 Teacher: Canaan Bowman Unit Name: Dilations and Similarity Unit #: 5 Unit Length: 4 weeks Week: 1/4 – 1/6 Week 1 of 4 Subject: Integrated Math II Tennessee State Standard(s) to be taught: (Write the entire standard) G-CO.9 – Prove theorems about lines and angles. Theorems include: vertical angles are congruent; when a transversal crosses parallel lines, alternate interior angles are congruent and corresponding angles are congruent; points on a perpendicular bisector of a line segment are exactly those equidistant from the segment’s endpoints. G-CO.10 – Prove theorems about triangles. Theorems include: measures of interior angles of a triangle sum to 180°; base angles of isosceles triangles are congruent; the segment joining the midpoints of two sides of a triangle is parallel to the third side and half the length; the medians of a triangle meet at a point. Accommodations for students, both regular and special populations : Extra practice with “Skills Practice” problems provided with Carnegie Integrated Math curriculum is provided if needed. Online Cognitive Tutor allows students to work at their own pace and allows mastery of a concept before moving on. Re-takes on quizzes on which students perform poorly.
