 Led a 5-member team improving connectivity to field remote sites implementing a
cellular signal (3G/LTE) based solution called Secure IP Anywhere (SIPA / M2M) in
partnership with TELUS and Micro hard.
 Managed the deployment of an IT Infrastructure system for offshore drilling in
Newfoundland. The system included satellite communications, IP telephony, and
windows servers including active directory, SMS, Net-App storage units, print
servers, specialized applications and real time data zone secured via firewall.
 Led a 10-member multifunctional team developing an integrated communications
system for a field development. The effort included a telecommunications feasibility
study, short term temporary systems, long term permanent systems including
business- and process control network zones and interfaces. The scope included
project execution planning and deployments, initially managing design and
construction of a microwave link to the main field location including a 120’ self
standing tower, control room / IT room and related equipment.
 Developed a Data Centre Strategy that included options such as remediation of
current system, co-location in a local tier 3 data centre and leveraging a corporate
data centre rationalization plan centralizing data and applications in the North
America Data Centre in the United States.

 Managed the deployment of a new Chevron global standard for modelling and
interpretation applications and tools to 80 Geoscientists. Partnered with the Site
Deployment Coordinator (Senior Geologist) and the central team in Houston to plan
and execute deployment alternatives, testing, usability test, training, go / no-go
decision, deployment / cutover and support model.
 Led a 10-member multifunctional team designing and executing a new Data Centre
to host the necessary hardware to deploy the new G&G standard applications
including blades (Linux and Windows), NetApp Storage Units and a new 10 Gbps
network core.
 Managed an Upstream Workflow Transformation (UWT) project developing a
prototype of a valley-wide Cyclic Steam Application using agile methodology. It
included user stories backlog, sprints planning (Scrum / Sprints), test plan and P50 /
P90 project plans.

 Led a 10-member multifunctional team managing the IT component of a Major
Capital Project in North Western Colorado. The Telecom / IT scope budget reached
US $25 Million throughout 4 years, and it included project office deployments,
licensed microwave links, field distribution network for business and SCADA via
fiber optic and redundant RF paths. The scope also included IP telephony, 2-way
radio system, wireless access points and guests high speed internet access in
offices and facilities throughout the field.
 Managed the development of a telecom / IT strategy document for a potential new
field development in Alberta, Canada focused on alternatives to link the field to the
Calgary head office.

 Managed a 10-member team in charge to define, design, implement, keep up to
date, operate and maintain all of the IT Infrastructure Systems.
 Continuously working on Information Protection remediation plans for servers and

 Coordination of the Helpdesk contract, the scope included 550 users throughout
Colombia, Panama, Ecuador and Peru (so called Andean Region).

 Led the development of the Telecom / IT scope of work for the extra heavy oil
Upgrader plant, which was the downstream component of the Hamaca Major

 The IT infrastructure scope included: PABX, Trunked Radio System, Voice/ Data
Structured Cabling Systems in buildings, plant wide multi mode IT Fiber Optic
Backbone, CCTV, Access Control, Security Systems and General Alarm System, as
well as interconnection to the corporate network.
