From E. coli, recombinant
Overexpressed in E.coli
Product Number A8725
Storage Conditions –70 °C
Product Description

Isoelectric point: 4.1
Acyl carrier protein is recombinant, overexpressed in
Eschericia coli. Acyl carrier protein is as an acidic,
1
asymmetric monomer with a molecular weight of
2,3
8,847 by sequence analysis.
Acyl carrier protein
binds less SDS than typical globular proteins and
exhibits anomalous mobility in SDS electrophoresis
5
systems.
Acyl moieties bound during fatty acid biosynthesis or
glycerolipid synthesis do so as thioesters of the only
sulfhydryl group of the protein, located on the terminal
portion of the 4'-phosphopantetheine prosthetic group
36 6
on Ser .
The product is supplied as a solution in 25 mM MES,
pH 6.1, with 0.1 M NaCl.
