Daniel Caste, Roland J. Coston-Criswell, Robert I. Glimcher, Mary J. Hackett, and Brian M. McInerney have joined the Board of Directors of The Children’s Institute of Pittsburgh. Current member John K. Thornburgh is moving into the position of board chair. Mr. Thornburgh, who served on The Children’s Institute’s Board of Directors from 1995 to June 2013 and rotated back onto the Board last year, is senior partner with executive search firm Witt/Kieffer. He specializes in executive search assignments for healthcare, higher education and nonprofit organizations. Mr. Thornburgh serves on the Council of Trustees of Slippery Rock University and recently completed terms as a member of the Board of Governors of Pennsylvania’s State System of Higher Education, as a trustee of California University of Pennsylvania and as a member of the Board of Visitors of the University of Pittsburgh’s School of Information Sciences. He is a member of the Association of Governing Boards and the Pennsylvania Association of College Trustees. F. Daniel Caste is a real estate developer and a principal of Laurel Communities, LP. Mr. Caste has developed more than 25 residential plans in the Western Pennsylvania market. In addition, Mr. Caste has extensive experience in the management and operation of apartments and retail shopping centers. Mr. Caste obtained his bachelor’s degree from Indiana University and earned his MBA from the University of Pittsburgh. Prior to entering into the real estate development business, Mr. Caste worked as a Certified Public Accountant for Price Waterhouse. Roland J. Coston-Criswell is President of Coston-Criswell Enterprises, serving as Managing Partner of Kimbo Realty, LLC, co-host of “The Coston Show” and President of Coston Funeral Homes, Inc. He is a graduate of the Pittsburgh Institute of Mortuary Science, where he currently serves as a guest lecturer on professional development, business strategy, and customized creative services. He received his undergraduate degree from Geneva College. Mr. Coston-Criswell is currently a member of the Alumni Council at Shady Side Academy and has served as Chairman of the Larimer Consensus Group and on the board of the Brightwood Civic Group. Robert I. Glimcher has been involved in commercial real estate development since 1978, first as principal in his family’s real estate company Glimcher Realty Trust. In 1984, Mr. Glimcher moved to Pittsburgh and started Glimcher Group, Inc. While president of the Glimcher Group, Mr. Glimcher cofounded the Robinson Towne Center development in the western suburbs of Pittsburgh. Mr. Glimcher is an active member of the Pittsburgh community, and has served on the boards of numerous nonprofit organizations. He is currently a member of the International Council of Shopping Centers, the World President’s Organization, the Chief Executive Organization, and the Pittsburgh Board of the Federal Reserve Bank of Cleveland. In addition, Mr. Glimcher is presently a board member and chair of the development committee of Winchester Thurston School. He was actively involved in the founding and opening of the Holocaust Museum in Washington, DC, and founded the Glimcher Fellows Foundation, which sends educators to Israel and Poland. Mr. Glimcher received his bachelor’s degree in Business Administration at Boston University. Mary J. Hackett is a partner at Reed Smith LLP, practicing in the area of Financial Services Litigation. She handles a broad array of litigation matters for financial service companies. While at Reed Smith, she previously served as the head of their Financial Services Litigation Group. Ms. Hackett has also served as Chief Counsel-Litigation for PNC Financial Services Group. Recently, Ms. Hackett was nominated to the BTI Client Service All-Star team for her delivery of exceptional service. In addition, she was selected to appear in the publication Pennsylvania Super Lawyers, and has also been included in Super Lawyers Business Edition. She received her bachelor’s degree in Economics and Politics from Mount Holyoke College, and her law degree from the University of Pittsburgh. Brian M. McInerney has been a Managing Director and Shareholder of Staley Capital Advisers, Inc., an independent investment advisory firm, since its founding in 1996. He oversees the private accounts area and serves as a strategist and portfolio manager, security analyst, and client liaison. Prior to his work at Staley Capital, Mr. McInerney was the Director of Fixed Income Research at Integra Trust Company. He has also worked as a Bond Trader and Research Analyst at Federated Investors, Inc., and in Unit Investment Trust Sales and Trading in the municipal bond department at Smith Barney Harris Upham in New York City. Mr. McInerney earned his bachelor’s degree in Finance from the Pennsylvania State University, and his MBA from the University of Pittsburgh. The Children’s Institute The Children’s Institute is an independent, licensed nonprofit organization that provides a comprehensive approach to pediatric rehabilitation: The Hospital, The Day School and Project STAR. The Hospital includes a 62-bed inpatient unit and numerous outpatient rehabilitation services for children and young adults. The Day School is an Approved Private School for children ages 2 to 21 with neurological impairments, including autism. Project STAR promotes the right of all children, especially those with physical, emotional and intellectual disabilities, to grow in safe, nurturing, lasting families. # # #
