1. The six main climate factors that influence the
temperature and rainfall patterns of a region are:




Latitude - distance north/south of the equator
Altitude - height above sea level
Mountain ranges – groups of mountains
Proximity to Water – how close or far away
from water a location is
 Ocean Currents –paths of cold or warm water
 Planetary Winds – the global winds that blow
from 0°-30°, 30°-60°, and 60°-90° latitudes
