March9,2016–Summer’sjustaroundthecornerandforclassicalmusicfans,thatmeansonething:it’sFestivalseason.Each
summer,artistsfromallovertheworldflocktopicturesqueCaliforniacommunitiestoexperienceauniqueblendofmusic-making,
camaraderie,andfun.Onepartartist’sretreat,onepartintensivestudy,andonepartculturaltourism,festivalsareavitaland
vibrantwayforartistsandaudiencesaliketodeeplyengageinclassicalmusic,anartformthathaslastedforcenturies.
FromJunethroughAugust,Californiacomesalivewithfestivals.Notwoareexactlyalike,yeteachsharesonecommonthread:a
loveandrespectforcomposers,musicians,andthecommunitiesinwhichtheyarerooted.IneverycorneroftheGoldenstate,there
areopportunitiestoexperienceworld-classperformancesandconnectwiththeartistswhobringthesegreatworksofarttolife.The
