BATS!
Hundreds of fish species call the St. Lawrence River
home, including the American eel. Examine and identify
live and preserved fish and eels, and learn about their
biology and role in our ecosystem.
With more than 1,000 species worldwide, bats are
diverse and ecologically important mammals.
Explore the role bats play in natural ecosystems and
discuss threats facing bat populations around the world.

AMPHIBIANS & REPTILES
ANIMAL MANIA
Learn to identify fascinating amphibians and reptiles with
guest speakers from the St. Lawrence River Institute,
South Nation Conservation Authority, and Save the
Salamander.
Take part in nature walks, inspect the nearby biodiversity,
and hear from the experts on local animals and their
habitat.

“Indigenous Creations of the Natural World”
An exhibit by the Native North American Travelling College
featuring artifacts and archeological findings like pottery, lacrosse sticks,
musical instruments and quill work.
