To carry out activities in an out-patient pharmacy. The activities include : the arranging , filling and dispensing of drugs under supervision , dispensing controlled drugs and compounding some formulations under the pharmacist’s supervision. 3. Be able to work in in-patient pharmacy With a particular reference to intravenous admixture programmes by introducing the students to the sterile room under close supervision . 4. Getting involved in medication ordering , recording and maintaining inventory control . 5. Deal effectively with controlled and emergency drugs. - Teaching strategies: 1. College and hospital pharmacy staff direct interaction with the students at sites of training . 2. Seminars and students’ presentations held in the college: Upon completion of each stage of training the students are asked to attend seminar and discussion classes held in the college .The purpose of these meetings is to focus on essential issues that the students may come across during training , and to insure that they gain maximum benefit while carrying out their field training in the hospitals. - Methods of assessment: 1. 2. 3. 4. 5. 6. 7. 8.
